Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
TraderJack is an AI-powered trade journal. We help traders log trades, analyze patterns, and review chart setups. Our service runs at traderjack.ai and via the Telegram bot @Trader_JackBot.
For privacy purposes, the data controller is Pip4x LLC, 5900 Balcones Drive Suite 22050, Austin TX 78731. Our servers are hosted in the EU (Germany).
2. What we collect
Account data
- Email address and hashed password (or Google OAuth token if you sign in with Google)
- Telegram user ID and username (if you link your Telegram account)
- Display name and account preferences
Trade data
- Trade entries: instrument, direction, entry and exit prices, dates, P&L, lot size, session labels, tags, and notes you write
- Conversation history with Jack (your messages and Jack's responses)
Chart screenshots (The Read feature)
When you use The Read, you submit chart screenshots for AI analysis. These images are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. See Section 5 for details on what this means for your data.
Broker connections (optional)
If you connect a broker account (OANDA, Interactive Brokers, MetaApi, cTrader), we store the API credentials or OAuth tokens needed to retrieve your trade history. You can disconnect and delete these at any time from Settings.
Crypto wallet addresses (optional)
If you use WalletSnap (Pro/Premium), we store the wallet addresses you provide to retrieve on-chain trade data. Wallet addresses are public data - we do not have access to your private keys or funds.
Technical data
- IP address, browser type, device type, timestamps
- Page views via Plausible Analytics (see Section 6)
Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or payment details - Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy. We receive a billing status and last 4 digits from Stripe.

4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following service providers, who are bound by data processing agreements:

We may also disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.
5. OpenAI and chart screenshots
The Read feature sends your chart screenshots and related trade context to OpenAI's API to generate analysis. This means:
- Screenshot images leave our servers and are processed by OpenAI
- OpenAI may retain API inputs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring (per their API data usage policy)
- OpenAI does not use API inputs to train their models by default
- If your screenshots contain personally identifiable information visible on-screen (broker account numbers, usernames), that data is included in what is sent
If you are an EU/EEA user, data transfers to OpenAI (US) are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. You can opt out of The Read feature entirely by not using it - it is not required to use the core journal.
6. Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics for page view statistics. Plausible is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not track individuals, does not collect personal data, and is hosted in the EU. The data we see is aggregate only (page views, referrers, countries). No personal data is shared with Plausible.
7. AI model training
We may use anonymized versions of your trade data and journal entries to improve our AI models. Before any data is used for training, all personal identifiers (name, email, Telegram ID) are removed.
- EU/EEA and UK users: We will not use your data for AI training unless you explicitly opt in. You can opt in or out in Settings > Privacy at any time.
- US users (outside California): Your anonymized data may be used for training by default. You can opt out in Settings > Privacy.
- California users: See Section 10 for CCPA rights.

9. Your rights (GDPR - EU/EEA/UK users)
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Portability: Export your trade data as CSV/JSON from Settings
- Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent: At any time, without affecting prior processing
- Lodge a complaint: With your local data protection authority

10. California users (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, opt out of the "sharing" of personal information, and receive non-discriminatory service for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information. However, use of analytics tools may constitute "sharing" under CPRA. To opt out, adjust your cookie/analytics preferences or contact us at contact@traderjack.ai. We will respond within 45 days.
11. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for the service to function (session tokens, authentication). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (Plausible) does not use cookies.
12. Children
TraderJack is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from someone under 18, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
